It is now possible to make, cancel and check appointments on line.  It is also possible to request repeat medication on line (as well as via the website).  Please come to the surgery to register for this service.

Maylands Patient Group 

In January 2011 the surgery set up a patient group.  The aim of the group is to provide a forum for our patients to discuss health promotion and local voluntary and social activities.  For more information, please see Items on the right of this screen, or contact Ruth Thacker, Assistant Manager.

The surgery now offers the Yellow Fever vaccination

Community Midwives

Antenatal clinics are held on Thursday mornings. Antenatal and postnatal care is provided for mother and baby at the surgery and at home in co-operation with the doctors.

Community Nurses

We have a team of experienced community nurses, comprised of District Sister, Staff Nurse, Enrolled Nurse and Nursing Auxilliary. The team are available seven days a week from 8.30am to 5pm. They will provide care in your home or at Elm Park Clinic following a comprehensive assessment.
Their services include advice and nursing care to the acute and chronically sick and the terminally ill, specialist leg ulcer treatment, dressings, injections, immunisations, blood pressure checks, taking blood samples, ear syringing, post-operative care, removal of sutures/clips.

Health Visitors

Qualified nurses with extra training in community health care are available for advice and support. They are based at Elm Park Clinic and can be contacted on 01708 796066. School nurses are also available for advice regarding school aged children. They are based at South Hornchurch Clinic and can be contacted on 01708 796500.
